Hi everyone! My name is Myrissa and I’m a twenty-something travel addict. I’ve been on the go since before I could walk or talk. My family has always been big on traveling and camping, so I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to explore parts of the United States since I was an infant.

My favorite places to explore are locations with a lot of nature. I grew up in the American Midwest and the low rolling hills of the Great Plains have always felt like home. Now I live in the Pacific Northwest and the mountains and coast are becoming familiar friends.

When I went to college, I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I still don’t! I ended up picking my major based on subjects I love and find meaning in rather than a based on a singular career path. So I majored in History and double minored in Anthropology and Spanish.

This blog started partially as a Pandemic boredom buster. A way to remember the trips I’ve been on and hopefully help someone else in the process. Planning new adventures has always been a good way for me to stay positive and have something to look forward to when I’ve gone through darker times. I figured I can’t be the only one wanting to look forward for their next adventure!

P.S. Yes, the name of the blog is a reference to the Beauty and the Beast song where she longs for “adventure in the great wide somewhere.” I love me some Disney!
